## Overview

AMP Futures is a Chicago futures broker that's been running since 2004 offering cheap, direct access to exchange-traded futures. It suits day traders who already know which software they like. The firm trades as AMP Global Clearing, LLC, a futures commission merchant regulated by the CFTC and an NFA member (ID 0412490), and it's a clearing member of CME, CBOT, COMEX and NYMEX.

### Accounts and costs

You need $100 to open and activate an account, and it can be individual, joint, corporate, trust or an IRA. Commissions are charged per contract, starting from around $0.42, with exchange and data fees on top. Day trade margins are low: about $400 for the E-mini S&P 500 and $40 for the Micro. There's no inactivity fee and no monthly volume requirement. Watch for a $25 per contract charge if the desk has to liquidate you, and keep in mind there's no negative balance protection.

### Platforms and markets

The big draw is choice. AMP supports 50+ platforms and four data feeds (CQG, Rithmic, TT and Teton), including MT5, TradingView, Quantower, Sierra Chart, Bookmap, ATAS, MultiCharts and the CQG and TT suites, and many are free for clients. Markets are futures and options on futures across US exchanges, with some European and Asian venues too. Free demos are available, and you can also follow strategies through Collective2 and iSystems.

### Money in and out

Funding is by wire, ACH or check, and AMP doesn't charge for deposits. It accepts most major currencies but not Wise or other money transfer services, and the bank account must be in your name. ACH withdrawals in the US are free, while wires cost $30.

- TradingView: no score (https://www.tradingview.com/broker/AMP_Futures/reviews/)
- Forex Peace Army: no score (https://www.forexpeacearmy.com/forex-reviews/8332/ampfutures-stock-broker)

AMP Futures is generally well regarded by the futures traders who review it, with a vocal minority of serious complaints. It holds 4.3 on Trustpilot from about 1,000 reviews and 5.0 on Reviews.io, though that rests on only eight reviews. Forex Peace Army and TradingView carry reviews but no score in our evidence. On Reddit's r/FuturesTrading it splits opinion: long-time users call it a cheap, no-frills broker that works, while others describe withdrawal and support problems.

### What traders like

- **Low costs.** Cheap commissions, low day-trading margins and inexpensive data feeds are the most repeated praise on Trustpilot and Reddit.
- **Platform choice.** Traders like picking from dozens of platforms and routes such as CQG, Rithmic, Quantower, MT5 and TradingView.
- **Money moves without fuss** for many reviewers, with most withdrawals arriving the same or next day.
- **Helpful support staff**, some named in Trustpilot reviews.

### Common complaints

- **Withdrawal problems.** Several Reddit, Forex Peace Army and Trustpilot posters describe wires that went missing for days, rejected requests or trading disabled while a transfer was investigated. AMP only pays out to the original funding source, and a new bank needs extra checks.
- **Slow or unhelpful support.** A recurring theme, even among satisfied users, is that support is hard to reach when something goes wrong.
- **Platform and routing outages.** A few TradingView reviewers say they could not close positions during platform outages and that trades disappeared; Reddit posters blame some order errors on specific routes.
- **Compliance rejections and balance corrections.** Some reviewers say applications were refused without clear reasons, or that unexplained adjustments left accounts negative.

### Recently

- **July 2026:** a new r/FuturesTrading thread drew mostly positive replies from multi-year users. A Forex Peace Army reviewer described trading being disabled during a disputed wire.
- **August 2026:** Trustpilot reviews included a company refused over a shareholder's nationality, which AMP put down to US compliance rules.
