Overview
Binance is the world's largest crypto exchange by trading volume. It launched in 2017 and now says it serves over 250 million users in more than 180 countries. It suits crypto traders who want deep liquidity, lots of coins and derivatives in one place. Its global platform, Binance.com, is authorised by the FSRA in Abu Dhabi, Binance FZE holds a VARA licence in Dubai, Binance France is registered with the AMF and Binance Japan with the JFSA, with further registrations in Poland, Kazakhstan and Bahrain. Keep in mind Binance was convicted in the US in November 2023 over money laundering and sanctions breaches. US users go through the separate Binance.US.
Accounts and costs
There's no fixed account minimum, just per-coin minimums on deposits. Spot trading uses maker and taker fees that drop through nine VIP tiers based on volume, reaching 0.011% at the top. Margin trading goes up to 10x depending on the coin. Futures are where the leverage gets extreme: up to 125x on some perpetual contracts, which can wipe out an account in minutes. Options are also available, with a 0.024% settlement fee.
Platforms and markets
You trade on Binance's own web platform and apps, which use TradingView charts, and you can also connect your account to TradingView or trade through the API. Markets include 350+ coins on spot, USDⓈ-M and COIN-M perpetual and delivery futures, options, and a growing set of perps on things like silver and USD/BRL.
Money in and out
Crypto deposits are free. Fiat deposits run through bank transfers and local payment rails, and P2P trading fills in where those aren't available. Withdrawal fees depend on the coin and the network you pick.

What traders say
Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.
Binance has no usable headline score on Trustpilot. In September 2024 Trustpilot switched off its TrustScore after finding fake reviews, according to Finance Magnates, and the page still carries several thousand reviews, over 5,600 as of mid-2025, most of them complaints. On the smaller sites it holds 2.1 on SmartCustomer from about 100 reviews and 1.6 on Sitejabber from about 90. Reddit's crypto communities are more mixed: many treat it as a default large exchange, while a steady stream of threads describe trouble getting money out.
What traders like
Size and coin choice. Reddit users often call it the biggest and most liquid exchange, with coins and features others lack.
Easy buying and local currency. G2 reviewers praise how quick it is to buy crypto and convert to local currencies, along with staking and learning content.
Fine for trading. Some Trustpilot reviewers say trading itself works and their problems only start at withdrawal.
Common complaints
Frozen accounts and blocked withdrawals. The largest group of Trustpilot, Sitejabber and Reddit complaints describe withdrawals suspended for risk review or verification for weeks, often with a case ID and promised dates that pass without an update.
Scripted support. Many reviewers say live chat repeats templates or an AI bot gives unrelated answers, despite public Trustpilot replies inviting them to chat.
P2P disputes. Several Trustpilot reviewers say Binance P2P support sided with merchants they believe were scammers.
Orders and the TradingView connection. A Forex Peace Army reviewer says take-profit and stop orders slip badly, and TradingView reviewers mention missing stop and take-profit support and slow execution.
Verification problems. Face checks and ID verification that fail repeatedly come up often on Reddit and Forex Peace Army.
Many Sitejabber reviews promote fund recovery services, so that page is a weak signal.
Recently
August 2026: a new Forex Peace Army review called Binance a good exchange but said take-profit and stop orders slip far past their levels.
