Overview
Moneta Markets is a forex and CFD broker set up in 2019 that sells itself on low trading costs, so it's mostly aimed at active day traders and scalpers. The main licence on its global site is from the FSCA in South Africa. Its group also has a UK company with an FCA number, an entity under the FSC in Mauritius, a Seychelles arm, and a UAE company that can only introduce clients. Check which one you'd be with, as offshore entities give you less protection. It doesn't take clients from the US, Canada, Russia or several EU countries.
Accounts and costs
There are three live accounts. Direct STP needs $50 and has spreads from 1.2 pips with no commission. Prime ECN also starts at $50 but gives raw spreads from 0.0 with $3 per lot per side. Ultra ECN cuts the commission to $1 per side, though you'll need $20,000 to open it. Leverage reaches 1:1000 on FX and metals for global clients, and it's cut ahead of weekends and holidays. Swap-free versions are available.
Platforms and markets
You can use MT4, MT5, the ProTrader web platform, which is built on TradingView charts, and the AppTrader mobile app. There's a separate copy trading app too. The range covers over 1,000 CFDs on forex, indices, commodities, shares, ETFs, bonds and crypto. A demo account is free.
Money in and out
Deposits are free by card, bank wire, Skrill, Neteller, crypto such as BTC and USDT, and local options like FasaPay and Sticpay. Card and e-wallet withdrawals only go back up to what you paid in that way, and profits on top go by bank wire. Moneta covers the fee on one wire withdrawal a month, and later ones cost about $20.

What traders say
Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.
Moneta Markets looks good on Trustpilot and much worse almost everywhere else. Trustpilot shows a 4-star rating with about 620 reviews, while Sitejabber has 1.3 from just 6 reviews. Forex Peace Army has an active review page and several complaint threads, but the bundle shows no score for it. Several outside write-ups question how genuine the short positive Trustpilot reviews are, so weigh that score with care.
What traders like
Low costs. Reviewers on Trustpilot and FPA praise ECN spreads and say conditions are among the best they have used.
Smooth deposits and withdrawals for many. A number of FPA and Myfxbook reviewers say they have withdrawn without trouble over a year or more.
Easy onboarding and a light platform. Reddit and Myfxbook users mention quick sign-up and a simple interface, including the TradingView-based ProTrader.
Friendly support. Trustpilot reviewers often describe staff as professional and helpful.
Common complaints
Profits voided and withdrawals blocked. This is the main theme on FPA, WikiFX, BrokersView and Sitejabber. Several traders say profits were cancelled for alleged agreement breaches or market manipulation and that the withdrawal menu was locked. BrokerChooser's summary of public opinion for May to August 2026 names blocked or delayed withdrawals as the biggest complaint.
Execution disputes. Some describe delayed closes during fast markets and prices they say were wrong at entry or exit.
Regulatory confusion. A few reviewers say they were told the entity serving them is not FSCA-regulated, and complain to regulators in South Africa, Saint Lucia and Seychelles.
PAMM problems. Some say a PAMM manager held their withdrawal and the broker did not step in.
