Overview

Tickmill is a forex and CFD broker that's mostly about keeping trading costs low, which makes it a good fit for scalpers and EA users. It has been around since 2014. The group holds licences from the FCA in the UK, CySEC in Cyprus, the FSCA in South Africa and the Seychelles FSA, with a representative office in Dubai under the DFSA. It doesn't take clients from the US, Singapore, India or Iran.

Accounts and costs

There are three CFD accounts, all starting at $100. Classic has no commission, with spreads from 1.6 pips. Raw starts at 0.0 pips and charges $3 per lot per side on FX and metals. TradingView Raw has the same raw pricing for $3.50 per side and runs on TradingView and Tickmill Trader. Leverage goes up to 1:1000 on some entities, though what you get depends on where you're signed up. Any Classic or Raw account can be switched to swap-free. There's also a $30 welcome account to try live conditions without depositing.

Platforms and markets

You can trade on MT4, MT5, TradingView and the in-house Tickmill Trader web platform and app. The CFD range is about 600 symbols: 60+ currency pairs, indices, commodities, stocks and ETFs, bonds and crypto. Through Tickmill UK you can also trade exchange futures and options on markets like the S&P 500 and Nasdaq, with a $1,000 starting deposit. There's a demo and a social trading service for copying other traders.

Money in and out

Tickmill doesn't charge for deposits or withdrawals. You can pay by bank wire, card, Skrill, Neteller, crypto and local payment agents. If you send $5,000 or more by wire in one go, it'll refund your bank fees up to $100. Withdrawals go back to the card you deposited with first.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

Tickmill's reviews split sharply. Traders who use it for low-cost forex and algo trading tend to rate it well, while a large share of low reviews are about withdrawals. Trustpilot currently shows no score at all: CompareForexBrokers reports that on 10 September 2026 the profile carried Trustpilot's notice that the rating is withheld for a breach of its guidelines, with about 1,170 reviews still listed. Reviews.io shows 2.4 from about 680 reviews. Forex Peace Army has a long review page but the bundle shows no score for it.

What traders like

  • Low trading costs. Reviewers on FPA, Myfxbook and TradingView praise tight raw spreads and low commissions, and several long-time users say it is one of the cheapest brokers they use.

  • Good for EAs and scalping. Myfxbook reviewers say automated and scalping strategies run without awkward rules.

  • Fast payouts for some. A number of TradingView and Myfxbook reviewers say withdrawals arrive within minutes or a day.

  • TradingView access. Several mention being able to trade from TradingView as a reason they stayed.

Common complaints

  • Withdrawals held or blocked. This is the dominant theme of low reviews on Trustpilot, FPA, WikiFX and TradingView: requests put under review, profit withdrawals declined, or wallets restricted after a winning run. One TradingView reviewer says they escalated to the FCA, FSCA and FSA Seychelles. These are reviewer accounts, not established facts.

  • Slippage and news-time spreads. Some describe heavy slippage during news, wide spreads at the daily open and on CHF crosses, and pending orders that did not fill.

  • Support during disputes. Several say replies are slow or unhelpful once a complaint starts.

Recently

  • September 2026: CompareForexBrokers reports Trustpilot withholding Tickmill's score over a guidelines breach. EngineForex links the suspension to fake reviews, though Trustpilot's notice does not name the rule.

  • Recent Trustpilot reviews include complaints about deposits put under review and a withdrawal marked successful that the reviewer never received.
