## Overview

Boxcar Trading is a newer New York futures prop firm run by Boxcar Trading Group LLC. Every account runs on Rithmic, so you can use NinjaTrader, Quantower, Sierra Chart, ATAS and several other platforms, and each one comes with a free Chicago VPS. It suits intraday futures traders who want a cheap one-time evaluation they can pass quickly.

### How the evaluation works

- **Boxcar Prime:** one step with a 6% target (5% on the $25K), an end-of-day trailing maximum loss of 3% to 4%, no daily loss limit and no consistency rule. You can pass in a single day.

Boxcar also lists a FLEX track with no funded consistency rule, a daily-payout track and a straight-to-funded option.

### Rules worth knowing

- The funded account adds a 40% consistency rule.
- Once the initial trail is cleared, the funded daily loss limit becomes 60% of your peak end-of-day profit.
- Position size is capped per account, from 2 minis on the $25K to 10 on the $150K.
- Fees are one-time and don't renew. There's no activation fee after you pass.

### Getting paid

Funded accounts pay a 90% split. Each funded Prime account has a small payout target, from $250 on the $25K to $1,000 on the $150K, and you can be paid after three days. After five payouts you can be considered for a live account backed by Boxcar's own capital, but selection isn't automatic. Payouts go by ACH in the US, Canada and abroad, or in crypto.
