Overview
FundedFirm is a forex and CFD prop firm registered in Saint Lucia that runs everything on MT5. It sells one- and two-step challenges plus instant accounts. Its unusual feature is that you choose your payout schedule when you buy, and that choice sets your split. It suits manual traders who trade news or hold over the weekend and don't need EAs.
How the evaluation works
1 Step: a 10% target, a 3% daily loss and a 6% static drawdown from the starting balance. From $79 for $5K.
2 Step: 8% then 5%, with a 5% daily loss and a 10% static drawdown. From $49 for $5K.
Instant: no evaluation, with a 3% daily loss and a 5% trailing drawdown.
The daily loss is 3% of whichever is higher at the start of the day, balance or equity, and floating losses count. Each step needs at least 3 trading days. There's no time limit, but 30 days without a trade breaches the account.
Rules worth knowing
News trading and weekend holding are both allowed with no restrictions. The traps are elsewhere. On the 1 Step, no single trade can lose more than 40% of your daily limit, which is $120 on a $10K account. Trades on the same symbol and direction within 3 minutes count as one. No trade can be more than 5x your smallest lot on that pair. Hedging, copy trading and EAs are all banned, and a profit that comes 80% or more from one trade can get reviewed.
Getting paid
You pick the schedule at checkout: monthly payouts at up to 100%, every two weeks at 80% or weekly at 60%. You need at least 1% net profit to qualify. The fee comes back with your fourth reward.

What traders say
Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.
FundedFirm's reputation is weak on the sites where traders complain and strong where the praise is hard to verify. Review sites put its Trustpilot score very low, between about 1.6 and 2 out of 5, though we could not confirm the current figure from Trustpilot itself. Forex Peace Army reviews are negative. Myfxbook reviews and many Reddit comments are glowing, but much of that praise is short and similar in tone. In late 2024 the firm drew public scam allegations after it cut a claimed $95 million payout figure to $9.5 million.
What traders like
Simple rules and MT5. Myfxbook reviewers and Reddit commenters describe a clear evaluation, tight spreads and a clean dashboard.
Fast payouts. Several say they were paid within a day, some more than once.
Instant accounts. A few Reddit users say its instant-funded accounts are more tradable than others they tried.
Common complaints
Payouts rejected at the last step. Several Trustpilot reviewers say payouts were refused once requested, over bot trading or lot-size rules they say were never flagged while they traded.
The base lot rule. Some reviewers say they could not find out how it is calculated and were breached for it only during the payout review.
Disputed breaches. Forex Peace Army reviewers report accounts disabled for exceeding loss limits after hitting the profit target, and stops hit by a price spike they could not see on other feeds.
Support going quiet. Several say tickets went unanswered for two weeks or more during a dispute.
Influencer marketing. A few reviewers say they joined on an influencer's recommendation and feel the promoters were paid to push the firm.
