Overview

Goat Funded Trader (GFT) started in 2022 and sells a long menu of forex accounts on MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader and TradeLocker. Its sister brand, Goat Funded Futures, covers futures on NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Quantower and others. It suits traders who like choosing their own mix of targets and loss limits.

How the evaluation works

  • 2-Step Standard: 10% then 5%, with a 5% daily and 10% static overall limit.

  • 2-Step GOAT: 8% then 6%, with a 4% daily and 10% static overall limit.

  • 1-Step: a 10% target, a 3% daily limit and a 6% static floor.

  • Instant HERO: no target, a 3% daily limit and a 5% trailing max loss. Any open loss of 1% closes the account.

  • Futures Daily Payouts: a 6% target with an end-of-day trailing drawdown in the evaluation. It switches to intraday trailing once you're funded.

Every forex evaluation phase needs three days of at least 0.5% profit.

Rules worth knowing

News trading is allowed on forex, but any trade opened or closed within five minutes of a red folder release can keep at most 1% profit. Hedging is banned, even within one account. EAs are fine unless they're HFT or gold arbitrage. You can copy trades between your own accounts, but signal services are banned. Funded forex accounts have a $3,000 daily profit cap. Futures positions must be closed before the session ends.

Getting paid

Forex accounts pay 80% (90% on HERO) every 14 days, with a 100% split available as an add-on. The first two payouts are capped at 6% of the account or $10,000. The fee comes back with your fourth payout. Rewards go out through Rise, crypto, Skrill or bank transfer. Futures Daily Payouts accounts pay 90% and can request every 24 hours through Rise.

What traders say

Scores from the sites traders use, and our summary of what they're saying, checked 6 October 2026.

Goat Funded Trader draws sharply divided reviews. Trustpilot no longer shows a score for it: the site flagged the firm for guideline breaches, removed a number of fake reviews and withdrew its rating. The page still lists about 4,300 reviews, and of those from the last 12 months roughly 46% are five stars and 40% are one star. On Prop Firm Match it scores 4.0 from about 1,200 traders. Praise centres on price and an easy dashboard. Complaints centre on denied payouts.

What traders like

  • Low prices. Many reviewers mention cheap challenges, frequent discounts and the pay later option.

  • Easy platform and clear evaluation rules. Prop Firm Match reviewers often say the dashboard is simple and the targets realistic.

  • Payouts for some. Some traders say they were paid several times, one reporting seven payouts.

Common complaints

  • Payouts denied for copy or group trading. The most common serious complaint on Trustpilot, Prop Firm Match, Forex Peace Army and Reddit. Traders say payouts were refused and accounts breached over allegations they dispute, and that appeals went unanswered for weeks or months.

  • Profit removed under short trade rules. Several reviewers say profit from trades held two minutes or less was deducted, sometimes cutting a payout to a fraction of the profit.

  • Slow or missing payouts. Some say approved payouts sat pending for weeks or vanished from the dashboard.

  • Spreads and support. Several Reddit posters say spreads and commissions are high and that support starts with a bot and goes quiet once money is involved.

  • Accounts not delivered. A few say paid accounts or competition prizes never arrived.

Recently

  • July to August 2026: several new Forex Peace Army threads describe accounts closed or payouts refused, over margin rules, a claimed same device link and alleged group trading.

  • September 2026: recent Trustpilot reviews describe a payout requested on 14 September still unpaid at month end after a cancelled risk interview, and a billing dispute over a pay later charge on a 28 September purchase.
